On the following pages you will find a listing of the ancestors of Bridgett Edwards and Dale "Doc" Schneider. Most of the folks on these pages are our direct ancestors and siblings, I haven't researched too much on the sibling's families as yet. The Schneider line hasn't been researched very long so the lineages do not go back very far.
Most of Bridgett's ancestors arrived in East Tennessee (Greene and Jefferson Counties) prior to 1810. The "late arrivals" to this most beautiful part of the country I know of were the Edwards' and Duncan's. Both these families came to eastern Tennessee after the civil war. The Edwards' came from Buncombe County, North Carolina to Jefferson County; while the Duncan's came to Greene County from Greenville County, South Carolina.
The Schneider's are fairly newcomers to this country (in comparison to Bridgett's ancestors), migrating from Brandenburg, Germany in the late 1850's. They are first noted in records in Henry County, Illinois. By the 1900's they are in Nebraska.
The purpose of my telling you the time frame of the locations of these ancestors is hoping you will not be going on an wild goose chase. I have surfed the 'net for years and have been disappointed many times by following a link I thought would really be "the one" to bust that brick wall down, only to find that link wasn't fruitful.
If you are interested in the BIBLE/BIEBEL surname in more depth than listed in Bridgett's family tree, please visit The Bible Family website. On that site you will find a link to the BIBLE/BIEBLE database, which contains close to 20,000 entries.
If, by chance, your "alien" ancestors happens to be a related to our "alien" ancestors, please feel free in dropping us a note, we'll be glad to swap information with you and bring these folks back to earth. Our e-mail address is located at the bottom of each page.
